Level 3 Diploma in Managing a Music Business Enterprise
Qualification aim This qualification is designed to assist those who wish to either set up a business enterprise or work within the UK music industry. It deals with all aspects of the music industry within this context and allows learners to gradually build up their own plan for managing a music business enterprise. This business plan will be the main focus of assessment for the diploma.
The qualification is aimed at those individuals who are starting out in the music industry, either as a performer, a song-writer, an artist manager, a promoter or booking agent or someone looking to start a small record label or publishing company. The UK music industry is largely made up of such SMEs however there is limited training available for such individuals to allow them to have a more thorough and targeted understanding of both the industry itself and how to manage a business enterprise specific to the music industry.
